Whittens was awarded the prestigious Concrete Institute of Australia (WA) Certificate of Excellence for its performance on the Roy Hill project. The scope of works included:

• Three ROM walls and the Coarse Ore Stockpile tunnels and vaults – circa 95.0 long x 16.0 high insitu placed concrete.
• Reinforcement, formwork, cast in items, construction joint preparation, temporary works and vertical access for three ROM walls.
