The Carrapateena mine site, located in South Australia on the eastern margin of the Gawler Craton, produces copper concentrate. Completed in 2019, it has an estimated mine life of 20 years.

Whittens was engaged to the carry out the detailed earthworks and concrete works required for the Minerals Processing Plant and Non-Process Infrastructure.

Approximately 11,000m3 of structural concrete was installed, along with 1400T of steel reinforcement and 23,000m3 of detailed earthworks.
